● Information provided about browsing via mobile devices, such as geolocation, IP address, site tracking, device model and browser used;
● operating system, and preferred language;
● Messages and interactions with the chatbot.

3. WHY WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA

Certified Humane collects and processes personal data in four situations authorized by the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD):

● with the consent of the personal data holder – whenever it is possible for you to opt for the collection of your personal data, our company will ask for your authorization for this to happen;
● to execute the contract and service – we use the legal basis of contract execution for processes related to the provision of our services;
● to comply with legal or regulatory obligations – this legal basis is used to meet legal requirements and report to regulatory bodies overseeing our activities, such as the Central Bank of Brazil, the Federal Revenue, the Foreign Trade Chamber (Camex), and the Foreign Trade Secretariat, among others;
● to ensure the regular exercise of rights – this is the legal basis that ensures the defense of our company in relation to legal, administrative, or arbitration processes in which we may become a party.

4. HOW WE USE THE COLLECTED PERSONAL DATA (PURPOSE)

Certified Humane uses your personal data to offer the best services to you. All this data is treated as confidential and used only for the purposes described below:

a) Data collected from accessing and browsing our website

● allow your participation in a selection process whenever a vacancy that matches your qualifications is available.

c) Data collected from the use of services after hiring
When you hire our services and become our customer, some personal data from the company and some employees and/or business representatives will inevitably have to be provided to us.

These data will be used for the following purposes:

● provide the contracted services appropriately;
● develop new services to improve the performance of the activities provided;
● perform accounting and financial management, in case of issuing invoices for services provided and payment tracking;
ensure the regular exercise of Certified Humane’s rights, including presenting documents in judicial and administrative processes, if necessary;
● comply with court orders, competent authority, or regulatory body;
● fulfill legal or regulatory obligations.

d) Data collected from downloading educational materials and subscribing to newsletters
The data you fill out to download our educational materials (ebooks, manuals, reference and tariff documents, guides, and leaflets) and also to subscribe to our newsletters are used exclusively for communication and marketing actions by Certified Humane. This means we will send content aligned with your interests, such as news, research, reports, and commercial information.

e) Data collected from voluntary money donations
If you make a voluntary donation of a certain amount to our institution, the personal data that inevitably will be sent along with the amount will be restricted to the institution’s knowledge and may be used for communication and marketing actions by Certified Humane, if the donor authorizes. These communication and marketing actions include sending relevant content about animal welfare and information on what Certified Humane is doing to promote and distribute humanized animal production practices.

f) Data collected from enrolling in our in-person courses
Whenever you enroll in our in-person courses and pay the corresponding amount via the Sympla platform, your data will be used only to confirm your participation in the said training and may be used for communication and marketing actions by Certified Humane, if you authorize.

g) Data collected from interactions with the chatbot
The data collected from interactions with the chatbot available on our websites is intended to:

● Respond to inquiries and provide requested information;
● Improve the user experience;
● Personalize and improve our services;
● Analyze the use of the chatbot for continuous improvement.

5. WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE COLLECTED DATA

Certified Humane does not engage in any practice of selling or exchanging personal data with third parties involving our users and customers.

We also do not disclose personal data in research and public presentations that could identify any individual or legal entity.

All personal data we collect are retained within our company to fulfill the specific administrative purposes cited in item 4.

However, some of these personal data may be shared with third parties to expand our communication with you, comply with applicable laws and regulations, protect our rights, and comply with court orders. This sharing always occurs within the legal limits.

The personal and banking data through which the money donation was processed will remain stored in our database until you request deletion unless you authorize the sending of emails with information about animal welfare. If this is the case, your data will remain stored until you unsubscribe or request removal.

g) If you enrolled in one of our courses
The personal data provided through enrollment in any of our in-person courses will remain stored in our database until 2 (two) business days after the end of the course unless you authorize the sending of emails with information about animal welfare. If this is the case, your data will remain stored until you unsubscribe or request removal.

8. HOW TO REQUEST THE DELETION OF PERSONAL DATA

Except for personal data linked to legal and regulatory obligations mentioned in item 7, the user and client may opt for the deletion of their personal data from our company’s database in the following cases:

● use of cookies: enabling and disabling some categories of cookies can be done on any page of the website through the “Cookie Settings” link in the website footer;
● information provided through our support channels (phone, email, or filling out forms available on our website): the request to delete any data that may have accompanied this contact can be made by email info@certifiedhumanebrasil.org;

● data related to donation: the request to delete the data can be made by email info@certifiedhumanebrasil.org, if the donor has not authorized the sending of Certified Humane information by email (if this has happened, the cancellation of email sending can be done by clicking here);
● data related to course enrollment: the request to delete the data can be made by email info@certifiedhumanebrasil.org, if the donor has not authorized the sending of Certified Humane information by email (if this has happened, the cancellation of email sending can be done by clicking here).

In all these cases, our company is committed to permanently deleting the requested data within a maximum period of 15 (fifteen) days. We are also committed to taking all precautionary, security, and confidentiality measures related to this disposal, following our internal policies related to the safe disposal of data.

However, the deletion of information does not include data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes mentioned in item 7.
