Earthside Ventures Private Limited is located in Thally, in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, India, and produces cage-free eggs from laying hens. The operation uses modern, automated facilities developed in accordance with Certified Humane® standards.

The company was incorporated in 2024. Its journey into poultry farming began when director Prithviraj Srinivas, after more than two decades of experience in the financial market, was looking for a second career closer to Bangalore. A friend, a pioneer in poultry production with a strong focus on animal welfare, introduced him to the cage-free system. His interest in the model led to the creation of the operation, which today includes sophisticated poultry houses, a feed mill, and a team of experienced professionals.

Working with the system has also brought new insights into bird management. Visitors with experience in poultry farming have observed that the hens are more active and curious and highlighted the birds’ ability to fly to higher areas to perch. The team has also recognized the importance of providing an appropriate environment that allows the birds to express their natural behaviors.

The company also invests in developing a production chain adapted to the cage-free system. To this end, it works with an Indian equipment manufacturer specializing in this type of facility and operates its own feed mill, which allows the company to adjust nutrition according to the birds’ needs. Earthside Ventures also plans to incorporate renewable energy into its operations and logistics, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality in the future.

Its eggs are marketed in different regions of India through a Certified Humane®-certified retailer, under the partner’s brand and banner.
